There’s a change to the Burkburnett sign ordinance after a story we brought you last week.

City Commissioners met on Monday and amended the sign ordinance. It has to do with posting of signs on public ways and places. The amendment says temporary signs, like from lawn companies and political signs, can exist on private property not maintained by the city. There is no longer a requirement of just over five feet from the curb.
