UPDATE: June 30, 2015

A motorcylce rider who was hit from behind in what became a chain reaction accident is recovering.

He was even cleared to go back to work less than one week later.

It all happened last Wednesday when Sean Hunt was hit by a car near the Bacon Switch Road exit on I-44.

In that wreck, DPS Troopers say a woman hit him from behind causing her to swerve, lose control, and roll her car.

Hunt was released from the hospital that night, but is still pretty bruised up and very sore.

Burkburnett Police Lt. Lahoma Vaughn says Officer Keenan Stubblefield was directing traffic around that accident when he was hit.

Troopers say a car following close behind another vehicle drove into the narrowed traffic lane around the accident saw a police car and may have panicked, swerved to avoid it, striking Stubblefield as he was running to avoid her car.

Stubblefield has been released from the hospital and has even been seen around the Burkburnett police headquarters.

No word on when he will be officially back to work.
