A Burkburnett woman arrested in February for forging checks is back in jail, but this time charged with theft from storage units.
Police officers said Stacey Nieboer, 41, is charged with stealing items from a storage facility on Sheppard Road. Nieboer allegedly broke into a storage unit that was next to one she was renting.
The renter of the adjoining unit reported items missing but stated that the door and lock on the unit were secure. Upon investigation, police discovered sheet metal had been dislodged on the back wall of Nieboer’s unit allowing access to the neighboring unit.
Officers said they found the missing property in Nieboer’s storage unit. Police in Lawton, OK, suspect Nieboer of several storage unit burglaries in their city as well.
