A Cache High School student is being treated in Oklahoma City after police say she was hit by a car Monday morning.
The incident happened around 7:30 a.m on Cache road.
That’s where Sgt. James McCarty says the female student was using the crosswalk when a car hit her.
McCarty says the driver told police that he didn’t see the girl and tried to avoid her.
The girl was flown to the OU Medical Center and the driver was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian
According to the superintendent for Cache Public Schools, the student is a senior at Cache High School.
At last check, McCarty says the girl was still being treated for a broken pelvis.
