Child Abuse Prevention Month Walk of Knowledge
Tuesday, April 4th, Midwestern State University Sunwatcher Plaza, 11:00 to 1:30
There will be display recognizing victims of child abuse featuring over 500 pairs of shoes, to show the number of young people dealing with this preventable situation. While there you can also enjoy a free hotdog lunch.
The Walk of Knowledge” is presented by the Wichita County Child Abuse Prevention Committee made up representatives from the Rainbow House, Emergency Teen Shelter, Patsy’s House CAC, CASA/Child Advocates, Foster Parent Association, Red River Hospital, SAFB Family Advocacy, The Kitchen, Child Placing Agencies, Wichita County Child Welfare Board, social work students from MSU and Child Protective Services staff. It is so exciting to have the collaboration of so many agencies and individuals.
The Rotary Club North will be cooking up the hotdogs with chili and all the trimmings! The food and drinks are free but donations are accepted to use for future awareness events.
