Wichita Falls residents have one more chance to voice their opinion on a proposed tax rate increase at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.
Tuesday morning will be the final public hearing on the budget and tax rate.
The new tax rate is $2.39 more than the current rate.
City leaders said it’s increasing to pay for the street improvement bond issue voters approved in May.
After the public hearing, the council will also vote on a new budget, projected to be more than $178 million, which is up 2.56 percent from last year.
Tuesday’s City Council meeting starts at 8:30 a.m. at city hall.
