After more than 20 years of service to Clay County, Judge Kenneth Liggett is putting down his gavel for good.
Judge Liggett has been thankful to serve Clay County for as long as he has but he felt it was time to retire. Of all the things he’s done, he said he will miss the people the most.
“Just dealing with them day on day. Trying to help solve problems every once and awhile I would have to be tough on them and punish them but sometimes people need punishing,” Judge Liggett said.
Liggett said he will spend some time with his family and take care of his cattle.
