In Texoma, some studies show about 20 percent of families live at or below the national poverty level.
Those 20 percent find it tough to even put food on the table, and finding affordable, quality child care can be very difficult.
Early Head Start in Wichita Falls is looking to help those families.
The nonprofit operates three centers, and they are having an open house Friday so parents and guardians can learn more about enrolling their children.
The open house is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wakeman Center at 1201 East Scott Ave.
