Wichita Falls Fire Department officials responded to an early morning house fire in the 1600 block of Lucas Avenue.

Assistant Fire Marshal Eddie Mawson said they got the call just after 4 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, firefighters saw light smoke, and after speaking to one of the residents discovered one of the walls was on fire.

Eights units responded to the fire, and the Red Cross was called to the scene for two adults, but no injuries were reported.

Mawson said damage estimates total about $1,200, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
