Events such as this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival and the Cajun Festival helps downtown development and promotes a healthy economic environment for the community and local businesses.
According to the Wichita Falls Convention and Vistors Bureau, the St. Patrick’s Day festival generated $1.325 million in economic impact and over 5,300 people were in attendance.
There were also 200 volunteers from Shepard Airforce Base, Midwestern State University and the community.
These events help to raise money for Downtown Wichita Falls Development Inc, which is the non-profit organization that continues to promote and improve downtown Wichita Falls.
