Turnout for this election was much lower than it was for the last major WFISD bond issue last May.

About 7,500 people voted on Saturday or voted early in the Wichita Falls council and WFISD bond issue.

That means about 86 percent of those who could have voted, did not take the time.

Almost 4,000 of those who did vote, cast their ballots in early voting.

The total turnout compares to 10,405 last May.
