Hands to Hands community fund received a special donation.
Second graders at the IC Evans Elementary School in Burkburnett raised more than $400 buy selling lemonade on Lemonade Day and chose the non-profit as their beneficiary.
The six kids who participated made and sold eight gallons of lemonade at the front of their school.
They came up with their own business plan, researched the non-profit of their choice and sold out of their lemonade.
One of the kids had some advice for her friends.
“You can learn that maybe you can do it with other people in your family or you can do it by yourself,” IC Evans Elementary School Braelyn Hinson said.
After presenting the check, they received a certificate of appreciation from the executive director of Hands to Hands.
The money will be split among the eight organizations supported by the non-profit.
