Equine community members buy and sell at Spring Tack Swap

Local News

Members of the Texoma equine community were buying, selling and trading at the second annual Spring Tack Swap.

For just $5 dollars, vendors set up their booth in the shopping center on Missle Road Saturday. They were selling everything from saddles, head stalls, bits, blankets and more. Event organizer D.J. Madson said it’s no secret that owning horses can be expensive. And allowing horse owners to sell new and used items, saves a lot of people a lot money in the long run. Madson also explained why she and others love owning horses.

“It’s addicting. They say they’re like potato chips. You can’t have just one. They’re amazing, they’re good companions and it’s fun,” Madson said.

All proceeds from today’s tack swap will benefit the recently relocated National Museum of the Morgan Horse.
