Families united at Wichita Falls National Adoption Day

Local News

There were no dry eyes or noses in the 30th District Courtroom Friday as five families did the loving deed of welcoming nine children officially into their homes.

Here in region two, which includes Wichita Falls, Abilene, Brownwood, and Bowie, there are 116 children who need permanent home placing.

The Yeargin family adopted three children, all siblings now staying together and they could not be happier Friday.

They are now encouraging others to do the same loving act.

“If you want children and you want to give love and you want to make a difference I would say do it because it’s the biggest gift that you could give,” Kaylee Yeargin said.

This is not new to the Yeargin’s, they have already adopted two children.

Friday, they adopted Moni Yeargin,14, and her two younger siblings, and the oldest says she could not be happier.

“There is no really any words to explain how happy and how much joy I have to actually have their last name but also to officially know that I will never leave this family,” Moni Yeager said.

It is also their hope to add another to their family very soon.
