UPDATE: Identity of Fort Sill soldier found dead released, incident remains under investigation

FORT SILL (KFDX/KJTL)— UPDATE: Dec. 7, 6:13 p.m.

The name of the Fort Sill soldier has been released by public affairs office.

27-year-old Staff Sgt. Logan Carter was found dead in his off-post residence on December 6.

Next of kin has been notified and officials said Carter’s cause of death is not COVID-19 related or related to any active field training exercise.

Carter was assigned to 75th Field Artillery Brigade.

“We are tremendously saddened by the loss of one of our teammates. The entire Fort Sill team sends our deepest condolences to Staff Sergeant Carter’s family, friends and Fires teammates.”
