NEXSTAR’S KFDX TO BRING LOCAL VIEWERS MORE EXCITING PROGRAMMING WITH LAUNCH OF 1 NEW CHANNEL STARTING SEPTEMBER 1st

Wichita Falls, Texas – August 26, 2016 – Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. and KFDX, the NBC affiliate serving Wichita Falls, TX. & Lawton, OK.,announced today plans to introduce a new channel on September 1, 2016. Laff network specializes in comedy programming, featuring a mix of feature films and archived sitcoms.  Laff will launch on channel 3.3 and reflects Nexstar’s organization-wide commitment to broadcasting excellence for local viewers and advertisers.

Commenting on the launch Wayne Reed, Vice President and General Manager of KFDX stated, “We are dedicated to anticipating the evolving needs and serving the interests of our local community. The upcoming launch of Laff reflects our commitment to providing local viewers with additional compelling entertainment choices and community-focused content that is complementary to our station’s existing local news and other exclusive local and network-affiliated programming.”

The Laff network will be broadcast over-the-air.

Texoma’s FOX TO BRING LOCAL VIEWERS MORE EXCITING PROGRAMMING WITH LAUNCH OF 3 NEW CHANNELS STARTING SEPTEMBER 1st

Wichita Falls, Texas – August 26, 2016 – Mission Broadcasting, Inc. and KJTL, the FOX affiliate serving the Wichita Falls, TX. and Lawton, OK. market, announced today plans to introduce 3 new channels on September 1, 2016. Grit, Bounce and Escape will launch on channels 18.2, 18.3 and 18.4.  This reflects Mission’s organization-wide commitment to broadcasting excellence for local viewers and advertisers.

Commenting on the launch Dennis P. Thatcher, President and Chief Operating Officer of Mission Broadcasting, Inc. stated, “Mission and the dedicated teams at Texoma’s FOX have a strong history of serving the needs of the viewers and communities in Wichita Falls and Lawton. Our plans to introduce 3 new channels on 18.2, 18.3 and 18.4 will expand and further diversify our local and network-affiliated programming with new exciting content choices for the benefit of local viewers and we look forward to the debut of Grit, Bounce and Escape in September.”

Grit features classic TV series and feature films targeted at men between the ages of 25 and 54 years old.

Bounce TV is an American digital multicast television network that is promoted as the first 24/7 digital multicast broadcast network created to target African American viewers.

Escape is targeted at women between the ages of 25 and 54 years old, primarily focuses on feature films, but also carries some true crime documentary series.

Grit, Bounce and Escape will be broadcast over-the-air.
