Video game fans wanting to make a difference are encouraged to do so this weekend.

Gamers from around the area are invited to participate in the Extra Life Game Day.

Some of the participants will try and play for 24 hours.

If not though, players can donate,  play for however long and join the Wichita Falls Gamers for Good between now through Sunday morning.
Mac Tech Solutions is hosting that team in their 8th year of fundraising. Monies donated will help save and improve the lives of children treated at United Regional, which is part of the nationwide Children’s Miracle Network.

“It’s a fun thing,” said event organizer Walter Lambert. “I only like to do it once a year, because it is a little bit of a challenge to burn through the whole weekend and staying awake that long, but it’s a really good time,” Lambert said.

Lambert said if anyone is interested in playing, contact him at
