Grant awarded to P.E.T.S. will now allow the expansion of a satellite clinic

Local News

The P.E.T.S. Low-cost spay and neuter clinic has some exciting news! They were awarded a 50 thousand dollar grant from the Watershed Animal Fund for a satellite expansion program at the Young County Humane Society in Graham.

A satellite clinic will allow owners in Graham and surrounding areas easy access to affordable care. The goal is to decrease pet overpopulation in the county and see an intake decrease of 10 percent annually in the Young County Humane Society.

After dealing with financial issues for years, the Humane Society of Young County was set to close for good, but this recent grant should help bring them back from the brink of closure.

The satellite clinic in Graham is set to open December, 1st. All appointments will be managed by the Young County Humane Society.

Walk-ins will begin December, 5th on Wednesday’s only from 10 am. – 2 pm.
