Healthcast: 3D printed heart

Israeli researchers are calling this a major breakthrough and the first complete heart created with a 3-d printer.

It takes about three hours to print using current technology.

The printed hearts can currently contract, but still need to learn how to, quote, “behave like hearts.”

Scientists hope that organ printers will become common in the world’s best hospitals in about ten years.
