A love for fashion is helping put meals on the table for those in need.
“High Heels for Hot Meals” supports The Kitchen’s Meals on Wheels program that continues to feed hundreds of mouths in our community who are homebound.
Festivities kick off at 6 p.m. Thursday with DJ Marcus at The Forum.
There will be a shoe garden, auction and casino tables.
Organizers said while they are sticking to the tried and true, attendees can expect something new.
“We have an auction package that’s going to pay for one Meals on Wheels client to be fed for a full year and we also have one for six months and a season,” The Kitchen’s Director of Marketing Pam Hughes said.
In 2017, the event raised almost $70,000 and this year Hughes hopes to top that.
Tickets are still available and are $75 and each ticket provides 15 meals for a Meals on Wheels client.
