An update is expected at noon in the investigation about two Wichita Falls women killed in a head-on collision on Highway 79 yesterday.

Sergeant Dan Buesing says investigators are looking into the potential that a medical episode caused the accident that killed 69-year-old Nancy Day and 51-year-old Nancy Wagenfuehr.

Troopers say Day was driving south just past the Wichita/Archer County line around 1:30 pm and veered into the northbound lane hitting Wagenfuehr’s car.

According to her Facebook page, Wagenfuehr is a Holliday native. Day was a retired teacher with WFISD and who many called their go-to substitute teacher.

We spoke with one of Day’s long-time friends who was also her hair dresser for around 30 years.
