An Iowa Park couple are charged with exposing their one-year-old boy to meth.

Dustin Fowler, 31, and Brandi Allen, 29, both are charged with endangering a child with criminal negligence. Iowa Park police began investigating in December after three reports were filed by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Those reports alleged  that the parents of a two-year-old girl  and one-year-old boy were abusing drugs and that the children were possibly being neglected and appeared not to have bathed in days.

In August, the affidavit states Allen was admitted to the hospital after an overdose of 15 Xanax pills, and while in the hospital tested positive for meth, Benzodiazepines and opioids.  The affidavit states she admitted using meth.

Blood tests showed the presence of meth and marijuana in Allen’s system,  and meth, cocaine and marijuana in Fowler’s system.

Tests on the two-year-old girl were negative, but the one-year-old tested positive for meth. The two children are now in the care of relatives.
