Katherine Sanders, the woman charged in the robbery and beating of an elderly man in April of 2017 has been found not guilty.

Police say Sanders robbed and beat then 83-year-old Wichita County Administrative Assistance Willie Wall with a brick inside his home on Polk.

A detective testified that a neighbor across the street said they saw a black female in a suburban in front of Wall’s home and also had video on her phone of a black male running away.

This led Wall to suspect Sanders who he said had helped care for his sick wife in their home and knew where he kept his cash.

Sanders told police she wasn’t at the scene of the crime on that day and was instead visiting her dying uncle in the hospital.

However, a detective testified they checked the records at the hospital only to see that her uncle had died on April 14, three days before she claimed to had visited him.
