WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) - After more than five months in the hospital, a Texoma teen will finally be sleeping in her own bed Friday.
Kayley Lowder, 19, was recently diagnosed with Still's Disease and spent 25 weeks receiving medical care in the metroplex.
On Friday, a video posted by Lowder's dad, Jay Lowder, the family showed they were preparing to make the trip back to Wichita Falls.
Jay Lowder said in the video how thankful the entire family is for all the prayers and support they have received since the journey began.
Kayley has had a 20-person task force assigned to her care and none of them have ever before seen a Still's Disease diagnosis in someone her age.
Lowder has a long road ahead and will start rehab next week. The family will continue to travel to the metroplex for her appointments.
Through all of this family, friends say Lowder's faith has remained strong.
