While the 100-mile ride isn’t until Saturday, the Hotter ‘n Hell officially gets off to a rolling start Thursday.
The trade show opens at 3 p.m. at the MPEC exhibit hall.
Packet pickup and late registration for riders begin at 4 p.m. in the exhibit hall, as well as registration for USA cycling races and Wee-Chi-Tah off-road events.
As well, crosswalk art is starting to appear in downtown, and the first masterpiece is underway at the corner of 7th Street and Indiana Avenue.
It’s all part of a project between the city and downtown development for the installation and maintenance of crosswalk art.
The goal is to make downtown a little more attractive and pedestrian friendly.
