The Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee is focusing on getting the boardwalk put into place. Tuesday morning, committee members looked at design plans, which are now at 60 percent completion. There was discussion as to what are necessities for the project, as well as what may be considered as alternate plans and wants.
“Things like decorative lighting, things like a more aesthetically pleasing entryway into the boardwalk area and landscaping,” Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee Chair Penny Miller said.
Miller said the minimum amount still needed for the boardwalk is $900,000. With a pending grant extension, boardwalk construction needs to be complete by February 2020, in order to receive grant reimbursements.
