A local bail bondsman was arrested Sunday morning after allegedly assaulting a woman who wouldn’t hand over the title of a car.
According to the arrest affidavit, the woman told police, Maxie Delano Green, owner of A to Z Bail Bonds, came to her home and took the keys to a 1999 Ford Explorer that was in her possession.
She also said he intended to forcibly take the title to the car as well as some money she owed him.
Police say when they arrived on the scene, the woman was on the ground with Green allegedly bending her arm behind her back.
After seeing police, Green apparently released the victim and stood up, while the victim crawled away.
Green was arrested and charged with assault.
He has since bonded out of jail.
