Valentine’s Day is a few days away and folks are placing last-minute orders. With flowers still a favorite, local florists are working diligently to fulfill orders.
The owner of House of Flowers said she had about 50 orders pending on Monday and the phones kept ringing.
Floral designers said are prepared for the rush ahead.
“I put my heart and soul into it, I genuinely love flowers so I want the person receiving them to get them at their best,” Floral Designer Jenn Bogle said.
In a few days, folks will be showering their loved ones and significant others with flowers and gifts.
Some, sooner than others.
“I always come early, always send them to her early, let her know I love her,” customer John Johnson said.
To get all orders done in time, even for early birds like Johnson, florists are knee deep in prep with Valentine’s Day just a few days away.
“Preparing for drivers and also trying to figure out how many dozens of roses the sweethearts are going to get,” House of Flowers Owner Karen Gibson said.
“In one day I did, last year 42 just dozens,” Bogle added.
That is the most common arrangement requested by customers.
For about six years, Bogle has been a designer and said she enjoys the rush.
“I enjoy the craziness, I like the stress,” Bogle said. “It makes me work harder and do better and perform better and I like it when everyone gets their flowers.”
For the next few days, the phones will continue to go off while designers receive and complete orders, all while satisfying their customers.
If you want to mix it up it, House of Flowers not only has floral arrangements but candy bouquets, bears and balloons.
