Man charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child

Local News

A Wichita Falls man is jailed on a $100,000 bond on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl last Friday.

29-year-old Keonta Hardeman allegedly sexually assaulted and then choked a young girl when she resisted.
Police said they were called to WFISD School last Friday after the victim told school officials about the assault.

The victim said Hardeman came to her house early in the morning, woke her up and then told her younger sister to leave the room.

She also said that’s when Hardeman began to sexually assault her.

When the victim resisted, she told officers Hardeman grabbed her hair and began choking her.

She said she kicked Hardeman and ran into her aunt’s room for help.

Afterward, they began looking for Hardeman who had already left.

Police said another person in the house found Hardeman passed out in a car outside and told him to leave.

Officers later found Hardeman who told them he had gotten “wasted” at a bar that night,  and denied the victim’s allegations.

Police said the younger sister was able to verify her sister’s ordeal.
