A Wichita Falls man has two counts of assault-family violence and a headbutt injury after victims and witnesses say he went into a rage and began throwing things, and then hit and kicked his daughter in law who arrived to try and calm him down.

Dewayne Bell, 65, was jailed early Thursday morning and bonded out.

Police were called to the 2000 block of Midwestern Parkway on a disturbance and Bells’s wife told them he was drinking and throwing and breaking things and she called his daughter-in-law for help.

When the daughter-in-law arrived with a man, she said Bell became abusive and grabbed her by her neck and hair and shoved her to the ground then began hitting and kicking her in the face.

The man then grabbed Bell and said Bell began to hit him in the face, so he defended himself by headbutting Bell, then got him on the ground and held him until police arrived.
