A Wichita Falls man is facing multiple charges including theft after police said he stole a car, a U-Haul trailer and a gun.
Justin Clayton Davis, 35, was arrested after police officers said he was in a silver Dodge Ram with a U-Haul trailer attached attempting to sell stolen property outside of the Exxon gas station on Central Freeway East.
The Dodge ram was later discovered to be stolen out of New Mexico. As officers tried to take him into custody, police said Davis ran away.
Police said two officers then got into a tussle with Davis on the ground.
During that physical altercation, officers said Davis hit one of the officers and then ran off again before being tased and put in handcuffs.
Inside of Davis’ car, police said they found a black pistol that was also reported stolen out of New Mexico. While in police custody, officers found methamphetamine officers said Davis had attempted to destroy on the scene. During the investigation, police also said officers found out that the U-Haul trailer was stolen out of Oklahoma.
Now Davis faces with eight criminal charges including theft of a firearm, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
