A Wichita Falls man is jailed on several charges connected to a series of alleged crimes on Southwest Drive off of North Beverly Drive Tuesday.
Adam Hammond, 18, is charged with aggravated sexual assault, retaliation and cruelty to animals.
Police were called by a woman who told them her boyfriend and the father of her 8-month-old son had performed a sex act on the baby, threatened to smash her head in if she called the police and badly injured one of her dogs by kicking it.
The woman said when she caught Hammond in the act with her son, he first denied it, then admitted it, and told her he couldn’t help himself and regretted having a child because of it.
The woman said when she began getting dressed to leave the house with the baby, Hammond said he would hurt her, their dogs and police officers if she left or called the police.
The woman said she began calling to find someone to come pick her up and Hammond went into the room with the dogs and began kicking them and she heard one yelping in pain.
When a friend arrived she said she gathered the dogs and her baby and left.
One dog which was having difficulty breathing and was taken to a vet for treatment.
Hammond remains in the Wichita County Jail on bonds totaling $42,500.
