Man on probation for attempted armed robbery, back in jail

WICHITA FALLS - A man with a long arrest record is now in jail for allegedly sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl.

28-year-old Justin Fugett is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and has a $75,000 bond.

Police began an investigation in Dec. after the girl's mother said the girl told her she had a secret she needed to tell her.

Police arranged for a forensic interview and the girl said the assault occurred at her old baby sitter's house on Avenue G.

Police say the mother told them she had gone to pick up her daughter there and no one answered the door so she went inside to the back bedroom. She said she found her two children asleep in the bottom bunk bed and Fugett asleep in the top bunk.

Officers say when they questioned Fugett he denied the allegation but agreed to take a polygraph exam, but he never showed up and when called again and said he was too busy.

Police say Fugett has at least ten arrests, and in 2016 he received ten-years probation for the attempted armed robbery of the Jack in the Box on Central Freeway.
