Man with extensive list of convictions back in jail

A Wichita Falls man with numerous prior convictions is once again charged after drugs were allegedly found during a search in the jail.

Maury Gregoire, 38,  is charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone as well as two violations of his gang injunctions.

Police officers stopped Gregoire in the 700 block of Williams for an outstanding warrant and said they detected a strong odor of marijuana in the car.

At the jail, officers requested a strip search be conducted and a corrections officer said a clear bag containing pills was located between his legs and were later identified as hydrocodone.

This is the second time drugs were reportedly found during a jail search of Gregoire. In a previous arrest, officers said two bags of drugs fell to the floor when he removed his underwear.

In 2016, he was arrested after police said he stole the bicycle of Leroy McIlhaney on the MSU campus.
McIlhaney is a Mustang fan and unofficial athletic department aide, so when MSU football players witnessed the theft, they took Gregoire to the ground.

Gregoire has served to prison terms and has around 10 convictions.
