WICHITA COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) — A manhunt is currently underway in Wichita County for an armed suspect with felony warrants out of Colorado.
Wichita County deputies and DPS troopers are looking for a Hispanic male who took off on foot after allegedly trying to cash a forged check at Double D Liquor on Seymour Highway.
Deputy Melvin Joyner said the man was last seen in a wooded area. He is also described as having a light beard and tattoos on his arms and hands.
Sheriff David Duke said the suspect is believed to have been involved with burglaries in Wichita Falls.
Investigators also said they found stolen property inside a vehicle believed to be the one the suspect was driving.
