A memorial service is set for the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office K-9, Tuco.
Sheriff Wayne McKinney says early Sunday morning Deputy Brown and K-9 Tuco were involved in an accident while responding to a call.
According to the Duncan Banner, the vehicle hydroplaned left the road and plunged into a ditch filled with water.
The second responding deputy was able to get Deputy Brown out of the vehicle, but McKinney says they were unable to get Tuco out.
Deputy Brown was treated for minor injuries and was released from Duncan Regional Hospital.
The memorial service for Tuco is set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Stephens County Fairgrounds main arena.
