If you see a lemonade stand this weekend, don’t pass it by.
Young Texoma entrepreneurs have been working hard to put together another big Lemonade Day this Saturday.
Students at Tower Elementary got a head start Wednesday serving up fresh ice and cold lemonade to students and faculty.
The objective is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society.
The kiddos were mentored by MSU small business development students who said seeing kids this young show an interest in owning their own business can leave a lifetime impact.
“If one of these kids went out and later in life realized that, oh you know what, I want to start a business,” Lemonade Day Mentor Orlando Chapa Jr. said. “I want to pursue a career in business and get a degree in business then I could say that I contributed to that.”
The money raised from Tower Elementary’s Lemonade Day will go towards reimbursing the school for the lumber purchased to build a new gaga ball pit.
Lemonade Day will be city-wide this Saturday.
