The mother of a Frederick baby was found guilty of his murder.
Kelly Fairchild, 24, was found guilty in Hobart of first-degree murder by allowing child abuse.
The jury recommended she be given life with the possibility of parole.
Sentencing is set for June 27.
The trial was moved from Tillman County to Kiowa County.
18-month-old Lane Fairchild died in 2015 from a skull fracture.
Last December, Fairchild’s former boyfriend, Gregory Miller was found guilty of child abuse and the jury recommended a 17-year sentence.
The jury declined to find him guilty of murder or manslaughter, instead going for the lesser charge of child abuse.
Sentencing for Miller is set for April 6.
Fairchild told authorities she and Miller had been smoking marijuana and drinking whiskey before Lane’s death.
The couple was arrested at Lane’s funeral.
