Midwestern State University is a little more family-focused this weekend.

The annual Family Weekend kicked off Friday night with a movie in the quad, and all the fun activities continue through Sunday.

Everything from movies, food, photo booths artists and more creates family bonding opportunities, and families who attend are glad to have this chance to spend time with their family members attending college.

Lorraine Baltusis’ daughter, Megan, is an early-childhood education sophomore and chose Midwestern State University nearly 1,600 miles away from her home state of New York with her family.

“Obviously spending time with my daughter and her roommates and their families. We get together and do dinner together and we are spending the day together which is nice,” MSU parent Lorraine Baltusis said. “We get a peek at her life here.”

Family Weekend wraps up Sunday morning with a brunch.
