Midwestern State University has been gathering input from Texoman’s on the future of MSU.
The university held its final open forum discussing what the university should do as part of its $50-million comprehensive fundraising campaign.
MSU president, Dr. Suzanne Shipley says several people in attendance talked about scholarships, endowed professorships and campus buildings.
“It’s an art and a science,” said Dr. Shipley. “You put the case together and then you identify the donors that you think their dreams align with your dreams. They might want this, they might want that. You do the research on their capacity and you go and visit with them and talk with them and find out if that’s what they would like to invest in.”
Dr. Shipley says the university has five to seven years to get this accomplished.
