Texomans can give support to local veterans at a special event this weekend.
It has been three years now since the North Texas Relief Fund began the journey to raise funds for the Base Camp Lindsey project.
There has been “Sleep Out” fundraisers, an effort in “Texoma Gives” and now for the first time, officials are hosting “Vet Fest”.
It will be a family friendly music festival with twelve straight hours of live bands, food trucks and vendors and the proceeds will go toward one purpose.
“[It is] a way for veterans to get back home to get into a structure, get back into life,” North Texas Veteran Relief Fund Volunteer Jimmy Force said.
Vet Fest kicks off at noon on Saturday at Broken Trail Ranch.
