The time has almost come for WFISD students as Thursday is the first day of school. But, Wednesday is the first day for Archer City.

To help make sure the kiddos look their best the Wichita Falls Barber Academy is offering free haircuts until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The Barber Shop is hosting its official grand opening by serving up fresh haircuts for the kids and food from El Chicos.

Kids from grade school to high school are welcome to come, and WFBA’s owner Byron Lacey said this is their way of saying thanks and giving back to the community.

“Like I said, this free. So if parents are in a bind from back-to-school shopping for supplies, just come on in and get their haircut,” Lacey said. “Don’t have to come out of anything out of your pocket, like I said, this is just our way of thanking and giving back.”

Lacey said they’ll be open until 8 p.m. so get the kids in for some new cuts, good food and good conversation.

The home location for WFBA is on 800 8th St. downtown, and you can call their offices at 940-733-3245 or check out their Facebook for more information.
