To kick off Black History Month celebrations, the Art Alliance, as well as other organizations, are hosting a number of events to celebrate throughout February.

One of those events is a collaboration with the Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre to present Dallas Black Dance Theatre.

This is the first time Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre has partnered with a professional dance company.

And, as this event nears, Executive Director Margie Reese expresses the importance of these collaborations to celebrate Black History Month.

“Together we can weave a really strong fabric of the community and if we don’t know each other’s history we know our own history,” Reese said.

Performances will take place February 8th and 9th at the Fain Fine Arts Theatre at MSU.
