One at URHC with serious injuries after crash near the Haystack

One man is in the hospital and another receiving treatment after a head-on collision in front of the Haystack bar Saturday morning.

Wichita Falls police department officers responded to a call in the 300 block of N. Scott Avenue around 2 a.m. 

One man was driving a maroon Jeep Cherokee southbound on N. Scott Avenue and hit a grey Chevy Silverado head-on. 

According to WFPD Sgt. Deanna Tofte, the victim at United Regional in serious condition with “significant injuries.”

Tofte reported the driver of the Cherokee was taken into custody and will be booked into the Wichita County jail after receiving treatment.

Neither name is being released at this time.
