UPDATE: Thursday, July 23, 10:20 a.m. —

One Texoma family is asking for prayers after their son is hospitalized following a wreck Monday night.

In a statement released on Facebook, Amanda Bolding shared health updates on her son, Kaleb, who was driving the car at the time of the accident and is currently in critical condition.

The crash occurred near Lake Arrowhead State Park at the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and FM 1954.

According to Sergeant Dan Buesing, a car was headed east on FM 1954 and an 18-wheeler was headed south on Hwy 281.

Buesing said the car failed to yield the right of way and pulled out in front of the 18-wheeler.

Three occupants, including Kaleb, were transported to the hospital. The other two occupants have since been released.

Counselors from Rider High School, where Kaleb attends, will be in the guidance office on Rider’s campus Friday, July 24 at 9 a.m. for students and staff who are hurting.

Coaches will also be in the offices if students or staff need someone to talk to.

Those wishing to stop by Rider on Friday will be required to wear a mask.

“I ask you now to pray for us. Pray for my mommy heart to make it thru this. Pray for our strength,” Bolding said. “Pray for those who will receive his life saving organs, the doctors who will assist in that procedure, and pray for our entire community, ROHO nation, and all of his family and friends.”
