Only living Iwo Jima Medal of Honor recipient flips coin at Super Bowl LII

The only living Medal of Honor recipient who fought in the Battle of Iwo Jima will flip the coin before Super Bowl LII.

Marine Cpl. Hershel ‘Woody’ Williams, who was born in 1923 on a dairy farm in Quiet Dell, West Virginia, is one of 15 Medal of Honor recipients who will be honored before Sunday’s game in Minneapolis.

The 94-year-old’s fellow veteran honorees at the Super Bowl voted for him to represent them by flipping the coin.
