PD: Man Arrested for Threatening to Cut Mom’s Head Off

Local News

A man is charged with making a terroristic threat after Burkburnett Police say he kicked in his mother’s door, and threatened to cut off her head.

On Sunday night Burk police were called to the 300 block of Buckner.

According to the arrest affidavit, 51-year-old Roger Allan Hardy told his mother to take him to the store to get more beer.

Then, when she refused, she says he kicked in her door and told her quote, “I’m going to cut your head off. Pick which knife you want.”

When officers arrived they say Hardy was in possession of a knife and pointed it at them.

His mother told officers he was off his meds and she feared for her life.

Hardy was also charged with public intoxication.

His bonds total over 800 dollars.

It was on December 22nd, 2015 that authorities said Hardy threatened to kill the former and current sheriff, after he called the Burk police department and threatened to blow it up.

Hardy was already on federal probation, after media reports said he sent anthrax hoax letters from an Oklahoma jail cell to the Oklahoman and the New York School of Interior Design.

They say he even tried to send one to the White House.
