PD: Man punched, kicked and cut girlfriend

Local News

A Wichita Falls man is in jail, after police say he abused his long term girlfriend, using a box cutter and then kicked her in the ribs so many times she was struggling to breathe.

Bruce Wayne Looney, 42, is charged with aggravated assault family violence and is being held in the Wichita County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Police say the victim had a large contusion on her forehead, abrasions on both knees, a large bruised area on her rib cage and cuts to her chin and her neck.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim said Looney was her live in boyfriend, but that they had separated and he was accusing her of having an affair with another person.

She told police Looney called her and said if she didn’t come over he would kill himself. When she arrived she says Looney punched her in forehead, before getting on top of her and telling her he was going to kill her.

That’s when the affidavit states Looney cut the victim’s neck and chin with a box cutter knife.

Then he allegedly got up and started kicking the victim in her ribs and an officer says she was struggling to breathe when he was trying to talk to her at the hospital.
