People packed into Village Bowl to bowl strikes to raise money.
Big Brother Big Sisters held their 10th annual Bowling for Kids Sake event to raise money for the program. Each bowler raises about $100 to contribute to the event.
During the event, BBBS executives said they had already raised $7,000 and there were still more donations coming in.
“A lot of the bowlers here are from our local businesses, our business community,” BBBS Executive Director Dwayne Bivona said. “They are such big supporters Patterson Auto and the Ford House and Prothro-Blair. They are all so generous we couldn’t do what we do without them.”
The program is always looking for more mentors and if you are interested in becoming one, click here for volunteer information.
