Police: Man arrested for assault of a peace officer

Man arrested for 11 outstanding warrants and assault of a peace officer. Police say that shortly after 2 Monday afternoon, patrol officers observed a man who was recently featured on Crime Stoppers most wanted. 

Officers stopped the man in the 1600 block of 12th Street. A record check revealed that 35-year-old Justin Randall has 11 outstanding warrants. When officers went to detain Randall, he began to fight, after a brief struggle officers were able to cuff him. During the physical confrontation, an officer was kicked in the chest. During transport, Randall kicked out a back window in the patrol car. 

Randall was charged with resisting arrest, assault on a public servant, criminal mischief, and the 11 warrants for his arrest. His bond as of Tuesday totals to 32,519.00 with 3 pending charges.
